1. About this policy
This website is operated by BlueMax Technology Support Ltd, company number 12902082, of R1.6 Fen House, Fen Road, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, CB4 1UN. Contact us at hello@bluemaxinfo.co.uk or 01223 944389.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on a device by a website. Similar technologies, such as local storage and session storage, can remember information in a browser without using a conventional cookie. In this policy, “cookies” includes these similar technologies where the same privacy rules apply.
3. Current use on this website
The website uses Google Analytics 4 with Measurement ID G-KDECJGW5LG and Meta Pixel with Pixel ID 3611919112309053. Both libraries are loaded asynchronously and are blocked unless you make the corresponding affirmative choice. Analytics consent controls Google Analytics. Marketing consent separately controls Meta Pixel. The site is also prepared for Microsoft Clarity, but Clarity stays disabled until BlueMax adds a project ID; if activated, it will be controlled by Analytics consent. Google and Microsoft advertising storage remain denied in this implementation.
| Technology | Purpose | Type and duration |
|---|---|---|
bluemax_consent_preferences | Remembers your separate Analytics and Marketing choices so they can be applied across the website. | Essential first-party preference storage; remains until you clear site data or change the choice. |
_ga | Helps Google Analytics distinguish visits and produce aggregated website-usage reports after analytics consent. | Analytics cookie; up to 2 years. |
_ga_* | Maintains session information for the BlueMax Google Analytics property after analytics consent. | Analytics cookie; up to 2 years. |
_clck / _clsk | If Microsoft Clarity is activated, these support consented interaction analytics and session continuity. | Analytics cookies; commonly up to 1 year and 1 day respectively. |
_fbp | Helps Meta measure visits and advertising-related interactions after Marketing consent. | Marketing cookie; commonly up to 90 days. |
_fbc | May record a Meta advertising click identifier where one is present in the landing-page address and Marketing consent has been given. | Marketing cookie; commonly up to 90 days. |
bluemax_tracked_lead_ids | Prevents a verified quotation submission from generating the same consented conversion event twice in one browser session. | Session storage; removed when the browsing session ends. |
| Hosting and security data | Our hosting provider may process request headers, IP addresses and short-lived security information needed to deliver and protect the website. | Strictly necessary server-side processing; duration depends on security and delivery needs. |
4. Essential cookies
Essential cookies or storage are required for a service requested by the visitor, for security, or for basic site operation. They are not used to build an advertising profile. Consent is not normally required for a technology that is strictly necessary, although we still explain its purpose.
5. Analytics cookies
Analytics helps BlueMax understand visits, popular pages, device categories and selected interactions. With your consent, Google Analytics 4 records automatic page views and events such as successful quotation submissions, contact-link clicks, package choices and visits to the contact section. We use this information to evaluate and improve the website.
- analytics storage is denied by default and measurement is configured only after an affirmative choice;
- Google advertising signals and advertising personalisation are disabled in the website configuration;
- you can reject analytics without losing access to the website; and
- you can reopen “Cookie settings” in the footer to change your preference.
Google acts as a separate provider for its processing. More information is available in Google’s Privacy Policy and Analytics data safeguards information.
If BlueMax activates Microsoft Clarity, the shared consent loader will request it only after Analytics consent and will use Microsoft’s current Consent API. Clarity may process clicks, scrolling, navigation, device information and masked or anonymised session-replay data to help diagnose usability. Refusing Analytics keeps Clarity disabled. More information is in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
6. Marketing cookies and Meta Pixel
With Marketing consent, Meta Pixel records a page view and selected standard events: Lead only after Formspree confirms a successful quotation submission, Contact for telephone, WhatsApp or email link selections, and ViewContent when a CCTV package is selected. Event parameters may identify the contact method or package name, but BlueMax does not send the name, email address, telephone number, postcode or free-text contents of the quotation form to Meta through this Pixel implementation.
Meta may use browser, device, online-identifier, page and event information to measure advertising, attribute results, build audiences and support retargeting or personalised advertising under Meta’s own controls and terms. The Meta library is not requested before Marketing consent. Refusing Marketing cookies does not affect the quotation form or access to the website. Learn more in Meta’s Privacy Policy.
7. Third-party websites and services
The site links to Google Business, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and WhatsApp. Those links open the relevant third-party service when selected. Independently, if you grant Marketing consent, Meta Pixel may communicate page and selected interaction data to Meta as described above. Once you visit or permit a third-party service, that provider controls its own cookies and processing under its privacy information.
A WhatsApp button opens a prefilled quotation message at wa.me. The message is not sent until you choose to send it in WhatsApp.
When you choose to submit the quotation form, the form data and associated security information are sent to Formspree for spam filtering, storage and delivery to BlueMax. This request occurs only when the form is submitted and is not used by BlueMax to create an advertising profile.
8. Consent wording and choices
The BlueMax consent control presents three clear first-layer choices: “Accept all”, “Reject non-essential” and “Manage preferences”. The preference view separates Essential, Analytics and Marketing. Essential remains active; Analytics and Marketing are off unless selected.
“Optional technologies stay off unless you choose them.”
Consent must be a positive choice. Continuing to browse is not treated as consent. Rejecting optional cookies is as straightforward as accepting them. You can withdraw or change either optional category at any time by selecting “Cookie settings” in the footer; the revised choice applies immediately and is saved in your browser.
9. Managing browser cookies
Most browsers let you view, delete or block cookies and site storage. Controls are usually found under privacy, security or site-data settings. Blocking all storage can affect functions that depend on a session or saved preference. Browser help pages provide instructions for the version you use.
You can also use device or platform privacy controls to limit advertising identifiers. These controls are separate from BlueMax’s own consent choice.
10. Changes and contact
We will update this policy when the technologies, purposes or providers materially change. Google and Meta may also change the cookies they set or their durations. For questions about cookies, consent or privacy, email hello@bluemaxinfo.co.uk. More information about our handling of personal information is in the Privacy Policy.
